MINIMUM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS --------------------------- The minimum system requirements for Oozic Player are as follows: - For Windows 95(OSR2.5), 98 and Millennium Edition based systems - Intel(R) Pentium II (R) 300 MHz CPU - 64 MB RAM - For Windows 2000 based systems - Intel(R) Pentium II (R) 350 MHz CPU - 128 MB RAM - 50 MB of free hard disk space - a 3D accelerator or 2D/3D display card with minimum 16-bit display, Direct 3D (optionally OpenGL) support and at least 8 MB memory - an audio card - DirectX 7a or later - Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or later Note: Oozic runs best at 800x600 resolution in 16-bit color depth (Hi-Color Mode). Your visual performance (frame rate) is directly affected by these settings. If you have a high-end 3D graphics card, you will be able to use Oozic at higher resolutions. 2. POWER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM STANDBY MODE ------------------------------------ The system standby mode for power management is supported. However, it is possible that the application may not display properly after recovery from system standby. The application has to be restarted. It is recommended that you disable power management features before running Oozic. 3. CHANGING COLOR DEPTH -------------------- It is recommended that you do not change the system color depth while Oozic is running. Otherwise, Oozic may not display properly. If this happens, restart Oozic. 4. OTHER KNOWN ISSUES ------------------ 4.1 Known issues with 3Dfx Voodoo2 graphics cards Creative does not provide support for Voodoo2 graphics cards as Voodoo2 cards do not allow Oozic to run to its full potential. 4.2 Known issues with Matrox graphics cards Matrox graphics card users are recommended to run Oozic in 16-bit color depth because they may experience poor performance while using 24-bit color depth. 4.3 Known issues with Savage4 graphics cards Savage4 graphics cards may not display Oozic objects correctly. To resolve the problem, drag the slider to "Best Quality" in the 3D settings. Savage4 cards may have problems running Oozic on systems with more powerful CPUs such as the AMD Athlon 800MHz. Users are recommended to get the updated driver from www.s3.com or refer to the table of recommended drivers at URL: http://www.oozic.com/support/drivers.html 4.4 Known issues with GeForce graphics cards If you encounter problems when running Oozic with GeForce graphics cards in Windows 95 environment, it is recommended that you run Oozic in Windows 98. GeForce cards (using driver version 353 and below) may experience compatibility issues while running Athlon systems. Users are recommended to install the latest reference driver from www.nvidia.com. 4.5 Known issues with audio cards with hardware acceleration enabled The audio playback may be slow when you are using some non-Creative audio cards that have hardware acceleration. To rectify the problem, you may need to disable the hardware acceleration option using the application that is shipped with the audio card. Copyright (c) 2001 by Creative Technology Ltd.
