Installing Creative Audio Tools CD In MS DOS

If while you are installing the Creative Audio Tools CD your system hang up, please try out the following:

• If the system has an AWARD PnP BIOS v4.50g, use the Memmaker program to scan the system memory "Aggressively" to gain more free upper memory. Then do the following:
  • remove the 'HIGHSCAN" parameter of the EMM386.EXE statement from the CONFIG.SYS file, or
  • do not select "Scan the upper memory aread aggressively" in the advanced option when running MEMMAKER.
• If the system has an AMI BIOS, download SB16PATCH.EXE for SB16 cards or SB32PATCH.EXE for AWE32/SB32 cards from our ftp site.
