Another award from Germany ! PC Anwender Germany has awarded Sound Blaster 32PnP as the Top Product in the Hardware/SoundCards category for its excellent quality and affordable price.

Sound Blaster AWE32 PnP Clinches Very Good Rating In Intern Germany.

Again, Sound Blaster AWE32 PnP received "very good" rating after being tested and compared with five different sound cards in Germany. Sound Blaster 32 PnP came close second with "good" rating.

Creative And Singapore Polytechnic Launch Region's First Computer Music Course

Creative Technology and Singapore Polytechnic jointly launched on 11 April 96 the first regionally-recognised computer music and sound certificate course. The Certificate in Computer Music and Audio Production commences in July 1996 and is targeted at Singaporeans in the multimedia production field as well as musicians who want to enhance their composition and arrangement skills. Philippines Music Blast '95 is a Success!

LAMCO, Creative's Distributor in the Philppines, recently organized Music Blaster 95, a music competition for Sound Blaster users.

More than 180 people attended the finals which featured very impressive entries and original compositions. Software applications used were MIDI Orchestrator Plus and Cakewalk Apprentice. The contestants were required to compose a 3 minute jingle or theme song for Creative, using Sound Blaster products.

The winner of the competition, Roger Basco, is a composer with nearly 11 years of experience. Roger personally owns and uses Sound Blaster products.

The show cum competition was co-hosted by Gino Padilla, a popular music and TV personality. The judges, all highly respected professional music composers and arrangers, lent prestige to the occasion and ensured the professionalism of the competition.

The final was held in conjunction with Lamco’s Dealers Convention night which culminated on Dec 01, 1995 at the ISLA Ballroom of SHANGRI-LA'S EDSA PLAZA Hotel. Entries came from nearby provinces as well as Metro Manila.

Creative Music Club launched in China

Thanks to support from Creative’s Chinese subsidiary, Chuang Tong Multimedia Computer Ltd, computer music lovers in Beijing have a music club they can call their own. The club, Computer Music Saloon, is founded by MIDI Saloon, Dian Ya Art Center of the Chinese Music College.

Since its inception, the club has attracted about 100 members, all keen to know more about computer music and Creative's Sound Blaster AWE32.

The objective of the Creative Computer Music Saloon is to promote computer music in China. The club is also an opportunity for music enthusiasts to share their experiences in computer music arrangement and composition. It also serves as an excellent forum for new computer music technology.

Membership is free. Members enjoy all kinds of benefits and privileges including music training, free tips on computer music and discounts, among others.

The launch of the Creative sponsored Music Club is an indication of the growing popularity of Creative’s Sound Blaster AWE32 in desktop music production in China.

Computer Music and Sound Blaster AWE32 Seminar in China a Huge Success!

A Computer Music seminar featuring the Sound Blaster AWE32 held at the China Music College proved to be an overwhelming success. More than 600 participants attended the 2 hour lecture which introduced the Sound Blaster AWE32 as a music production tool.

The seminar started off with Mr Sun Jingwei, Product Manager Creative’s Chinese Subsidiary, introducing Creative's concept of Computer Music . The audience was subsequently treated to an interesting lecture on the topic and an electrifying performance by Kevin "Jungle", Creative's extremely talented music evangelist in China.

Kevin "Jungle" introduced the basics of Desktop Music to the audience and demonstrated how easily the Sound Blaster AWE32 could be used to produce music at the computer. A few professional singers added glamour to the occasion by singing Kevin's energetic composition, Crash.

The computer music seminar is Creative's second successful music seminar in China.

Creative Hits Beijing Air Waves with Computer Music Program

Beijing Chuang Tong Multimedia Computer Ltd, Creative's China subsidiary is showing the Chinese that the Sound Blaster is more than just a game card. The Company recently took to the air waves with a computer music program. The program on Beijing Radio highlights to the millions of listeners the potential of the Sound Blaster AWE32 as a music tool for all, including novices, enthusiasts and professionals.

The program hosted by Kevin "Jungle", Creative's Chinese Evangelist, introduces listeners to the exciting world of computer music and how the Sound Blaster AWE32 makes a difference. It broadcasts Tuesdays from 1.10 pm - 1.40 pm, Beijing time. Surely a treat for all Chinese Music Enthusiasts!

Creative Labs Clinches Top Sound Spot in Sound Card Segment

In a sound card survey that was conducted on 1000 Fortune companies and smaller firms, it was found that Sound Blaster is the overwhelming No 1 choice among sound cards. The survey was conducted by CRN / The Gallup Organization Inc.

The survey reported an increasing use of sound cards in companies. These companies use the Sound Blaster to bring sound to multimedia presentations as well as to CD-ROM applications.

This corporate survey clearly establishes the popularity of the Sound Blaster even in the corporate sector.

Sound Blaster Wins Buyer's Choice 1995 in PC World Taiwan

Sound Blaster has won the BUYER'S CHOICE 1995 of PC World Taiwan in the sound card category again. According to the magazine, Creative's Sound Blaster cards clinched the top 5 spots

1st prize -- Sound Blaster AWE32 (32.0%)
2nd prize -- Sound Blaster (21.5%)
3rd prize -- Sound Blaster 16 (17.4%)
4th prize -- Sound Blaster 32 ( 7.8%)
5th prize -- Sound Blaster 16 Pro ( 6.4%)

The total percentage of Sound Blaster series products that readers voted was a whopping 85.1% high. According to PC World Taiwan, no other card came close and that such an amazing result has never happened before in the magazine's Buyer's Choice poll.

Sound Blaster AWE32 Scores again in Computer Shopper's Best Buy Award

In the 1995 vote, Creative's Sound Blaster AWE32 captured first place for the second time in a row, giving the Sound Blaster line its third consecutive Best Buy award, Computer Shopper Magazine reported. "Our readers can't seem to get enough of Creative Labs' best-selling Sound Blaster sound boards. "

The magazine also reported that ComputAbility Consumer Electronics captured the most votes as a reseller source of the AWE32.

Sound Blaster AWE32 wins 1995 MVP Award

Creative has done it again. It has clinched the Most Valuable Product Award (MVP) from PC Computing for the Sound Blaster AWE32 in the multimedia hardware category. According to PC Computing' magazine the new Plug and Play model offers idiot-proof installation under Windows 95. Whether you're a die-hard gamer, multimedia presenter, or serious composer, the AWE32 PnP will jolt your speakers to life.

The runners-up were Cambridge SoundWorks and Ensoniq Soundscape Elite.

This is not the first time the Sound Blaster AWE32 has won the MVP award from PC Computing. It also clinched the same award for the multimedia category in 1994.

10 Sound Blaster AWE32 sites set up by AWE32 fanatics

The year 1995 has seen the Sound Blaster AWE32 gain popularity throughout the year and has customers all over the world. A recent survey by the Creative Internet Team turned up these 10 AWE32 Home pages or sites that contain AWE32 related information.

The two most popular sites are Mathias C. Hjelt's AWE Page and the AWE32 Home Page maintained by Jesper Nordenberg and Johan Nilsson which receive up to 4,000 visitors a week. These sites contain excellent information about the Sound Blaster AWE32 and offer tips based on their own experiences.

Most of the AWE32 sites are maintained by teenagers who have become ardent users of the Sound Blaster AWE32. They have made a hobby out of offering information related to the card as well as its usage in the area of music.

"The presence of these are a testimony that there is a huge following who have come to appreciate the technology behind the Sound Blaster AWE32. It also signals the cards' acceptance by music enthusiasts and desktop musicians. For the customers, it means they enjoy added value because these sites offer valuable information and also offer goodies like SoundFont Banks files," said Hoi Chong, Senior Product Marketing Manager, Creative Technology.

2 New Sound Font Bank Libraries from Creative/E-mu

Creative/E-mu has added 2 more collection of Sound Font Libraries for use with Creative's AWE family of Sound Cards which includes Sound Blaster AWE32 and Sound Blaster 32.

SoundFont Collection Vol 1 Contains Guitar, Drums & Synth samples while Vol 2 includes traditional wind and keyboard samples. Both libraries contain 30 high quality samples and each sample is 512 size. This means that the libraries can be used by Sound Blaster AWE32, Sound Blaster AWE32 Value and Sound Blaster 32 (with added memory).
