Installing CD0ROM Drive in Windows NT
- If the IDE CDROM port set on the sound card is either Tertiary
or Quaternary port, then change the IDE I/O address on the sound
card to secondary port i.e. 170,15.
- If you have an Enhanced IDE controller on your motherboard,
then disable the secondary IDE port on the motherboard through
the software BIOS CMOS setting, or use the jumpers selection on
the motherboard. Make sure the IDE setting on the sound card is
set to secondary port, i.e. 170,15.
- Check that your IDE CDROM drive is set to 'Master' mode and
NOT 'Slave' mode if it is the first device on the IDE controller,
e.g. connected to SB16 IDE card.
- If you own a Creative CR563 or CD200 drive, make sure that
the I/O address of the sound card used is set at 220Hex.
