The Sleeping Dragon [With SoundFont]
(427K 2:01)
When writing this song, I imagined myself in "storybook"
Japan... The scene? A lonely dragon sleeping in a cave. (Don't
ask me why). I used SoundFonts to create the effect of the dragon.
The music instills a melancholic mood mainly achieved by the Japanese
instrument Koto. I added a touch of modern jazz to the otherwise
mystical nature of the song.
Hindi Dancers [With SoundFont]
(355K 1:38)
I never for once thought I could write a Hindu song. Here's my
first attempt at doing so. I played all the necessary Indian instruments
(e.g Sitar) using SoundFonts. I just imagined some Indian dancers dancing
away with their prominent anklets, and lots of people cheering
them on. Sorry, I couldn't help being influenced by modern pop and jazz.
Night Flight [With SoundFont]
(435K 1.11)
This piece recounts the joy of flying (in the night). I imagined
myself in an airplane. Here's my interpretation... I started out
this composition with the plane taking off. To give you this feeling,
I wrote the verse playing it in SEVEN beats (Count it yourself)...
and from there on it was smooth flying... Oh, I forgot, I was using
slapping bass!
Prayers of the Night [With SoundFont]
(505K 1:52)
This song features the voice of Russian Monks (SoundFonts). You can say that I
drew inspiration from the song "Enigma". In this piece, I imagined Russian Monks
praying in a temple located on a hill... And Angels answering their prayer.
Oh yes, I also added in Violins (Fiddle) towards the end - same style as
Vanessa Mae.
Rockin' [With SoundFont]
(490K 1:40)
You know, its strange how music can motivate you to write songs
you never thought you could write. This song is dedicated to those
out there who love rock music. To tell you the truth, I don't quite
like Rock. But when I heard the realism of the Rock guitar offered
by E-mu's SoundFonts , I couldn't help writing this song. It features
several kinds of Guitar instruments. I may not have done it right since
I'm not a guitarist but enjoy it anyway.
Now for those who love sentimental music, I wrote several compositions
below which I hope you like.
