The interactive courseware kits will enable users ranging from school children to
adults to learn to play the music keyboard and arrange, compose and even produce
music at the PC. The interactive nature of Creative BlasterKeys means music lovers
can work through the music courses in their own time and pace.
Available from the beginning of June '95, Creative BlasterKeys are expected to retail at
around £119 while Sound Blaster AWE32 Home Music Studio has an RRP of around
£229.
"Today the PC is a powerful music teaching, learning and production tool. Music
lovers can learn to play a music instrument at their desktop computer. They can also
create new musical sounds and even compose and play the music score of an entire
orchestra," said Dave Askew, Creative's UK sales and marketing manger.
The Creative BlasterKeys music package includes BlasterKeys, a 49-note velocity
sensitive keyboard, and premium software such as MusicWare's Piano, Blue Ribbon
Soundworks' Melody Maestro Jr. and Voyetra Technologies' MIDI Orchestrator Plus.
Music enthusiasts will be guided through MusicWare's piano playing course through
a carefully devised systematic and progressive curriculum, including music theory
and practice.
Ambitious learners can delve into music arrangement, composition and production
with MIDI Orchestrator Plus, a 1,000 track MIDI graphic sequencer. Creative
BlasterKeys works with any Sound Blaster 16 series audio card and the Sound Blaster
AWE32 sound card range.
