Working in partnership with the Game Developer Community
Our staff in Developer Support works with Creative's registered game
developers to create the next generation of 3D game titles. We provide
the Creative Graphic Library (CGL) to developers working in DOS, which
takes advantage of the features of the 3D Blaster. Additionally, for
developers working with Microsoft's Direct X technology, drivers for
3D Blaster are available.
We will show developers how to get the most out of the 3D Blaster, how to
optimize their code, how to program different 3D graphical effects and
if appropriate, even provide assistance in debugging code. We
also provide porting labs so that we can get our developers up to
speed on programming 3D Blaster as fast as possible.
- The latest CGL is version 1.70.
- Sample code and utility programs will be made available to Creative's
registered developers on this web page. We hope our developers will find
these files helpful in developing their 3D game titles.

CGL is a low level interface to the 3D Blaster family of products. It can
best be thought of as a hardware abstraction layer with a common set of
function calls that support different silicon-based 3D Blasters. CGL comes
in a development kit which includes CGL libraries, header files, documentation
and sample programs.
