Creative Adds Fatal Racing and Actua Soccer to Growing List of 3D Blaster Compatible Titles

Fast Action Gaming Comes to Life on Creative's 3D Graphics Accelerator

E3, LOS ANGELES - May 15, 1996 - Creative Technology Ltd. (NASDAQ: CREAF), the world's leading provider of multimedia products for personal computers, announced today that Fatal Racing and Actua Soccer, from Gremlin Interactive, have been added to the growing list of 3D Blaster compatible titles. Because these two new action-packed games were developed using the Creative Graphics Library (CGL) platform, PC users can experience exceptional 3D quality on their PCs.

"Fatal Racing and Actua Soccer are ideal examples of game titles taking full advantage of the superior performance enhancements offered through our 3D Blaster." said Hock Leow, vice president of graphics and video products for Creative Technology. "Our goal of offering the best games on the most widely supported 3D platform available continues to be realized as new and exciting 3D games come to market that support our products."

Fatal Racing pushes drivers to the limit on a fast moving roadway that includes a unique set of stunts, loops and even corkscrews. With its virtual camera angles in True 3D and network option for up to 16 players, Fatal Racing provides the breakthrough realism necessary for serious racing game enthusiasts.

Acclaimed as one of the best soccer experience, short of actually playing, Actua Soccer uses the latest motion-capture technology to generate a virtual realistic sport simulation game. Actua Soccer includes player strategies such as windmills, headers, dives and more -- all captured in 3D using Creative's 3D Blaster.

"Fatal Racing and Actua Soccer really comes to life with 3D Blaster," said Phil Wright, business development manager for Gremlin Interactive. "Creative's CGL development platform provides our end users with a greatly enhanced 3D experience. We look forward to introducing additional 3D Blaster compatible titles in the future."

3D Blaster is a graphics display card with hardware-accelerated 3D rasterization that brings workstation-level graphics performance to the PC at consumer pricing. Creative's 3D Blaster products are unique in their ability to draw perspective-correct, texture mapped images. 3D Blaster presents textured images that do not warp, swim or shake in a distracting manner. 3D Blaster for VL-Bus systems is currently shipping and the version for PCI Bus systems will ship this summer.

More than 200 registered developers have pledged their support for 3D Blaster. 3D Blaster supports multiple 3D graphics APIs including Creative's own Creative Graphics Library (CGL) which is the ideal development platform for developers with legacy DOS-based applications. In addition, Creative supports Microsoft's Direct3D making it the most supported PC-based 3D accelerator on the market.
