Argonaut is quite pleased to join with Creative Labs at the launch of its 3D Blaster at Creativity 95. Creative Labs, a leading provider of extremely successful consumer products is among the first to market with cool new 3D hardware products. Argonaut has long believed that PC gaming will have an enormous benefit once 3D hardware products come to market at consumer prices. Creative Labs is now at the forefront of this emerging market.
BRender's device support
The two most important requirements of device support are:
BRender does exactly that. 3D hardware products are now supported in BRender 1.2 via BRender's Device Driver Interface (BRender DDI). BRender is automatically able to detect and transparently use any BRender device driver. Creative Labs' 3D Blaster is the first BRender device driver that we've created and it fully exploits the capabilities of this product. Any BRender title developed to take advantage of the 3D Blaster will automatically run with any enhanced 3D device supported by BRender.
BRender device support for all PC environments
BRender DDI supports DOS, Windows 3.1, Windows 95 and OS/2. BRender's device support for Windows 95 supports DirectDraw, and Argonaut plans to fully support Microsoft's Direct3D and Direct3D HAL interfaces once they are published and available.
Great BRender titles made even better
This means that developers can be certain that their great BRender titles will run even better with 3D products like the 3D Blaster. The 3D Blaster enhances application performance at higher resolutions and color depths. Applications running at higher resolutions will easily look better and more realistic and that's what exactly what you get with BRender & 3D Blaster. BRender is the fastest, smallest 3D software available for the personal computer and games consoles -- 10 operating environments are already supported -- and 3D hardware will take these titles automatically to the next level of excitement.
Helping developers
Argonaut is eager to help developers take advantage of the 3D Blaster and we welcome inquiries.
