E.g. CONFIG.SYS: DEVICE=[Path]\CTCM.EXE DEVICE=C:\SBCD\DOSDRV\SBIDE.SYS /D:MSCD001 /V /P:1E8,11 E.g. AUTOEXEC.BAT: SET CTCM=[Path] [Path]\CTCU /s /W=[Windows Directory Path], where CTCU is Creative PnP Configuration Utility
Note 1: If ICM is already present in the system, there is no need to remove ICM to use CTCM. Just make sure that CTCM is placed after the ICM statement in the CONFIG.SYS file. But the CTCM statement must be placed before all the statements that load other low-level device drivers, e.g. CTSB16.SYS and SBIDE.SYS, so that your Creative Plug-and-Play card will be configured before these device drivers try to use them.
Note 2: When configuring Creative Plug-and-Play cards in Windows 95 MS-DOS mode, CTCM is required but the CTCU statement in AUTOEXEC.BAT file is not necessary because CTCM can get both legacy and Plug-and-Play card settings from Windows 95.

By now Windows 95 is able to assign a conflict free configuration to that device. However, since the above steps need to be repeated every time the system boots up, it is not a viable solution. Therefore, users are encouraged to approach their system dealer for BIOS updates.
