Creative Reduces ShareVision Desktop Video Conferencing Prices To Under $1000

Aggressive New Pricing For POTS-Based Desktop Video Conferencing

LAS VEGAS -- November 13, 1995 -- Creative Technology Ltd. (Nasdaq:CREAF) today announced that it will reduce the price of its ShareVision PC3000 desktop video conferencing product to $999 beginning January 1, in North America. Aggressive new pricing underscores Creative's long-term goal of providing affordable high-performance communication and multimedia solutions to the widest possible audience.

ShareVision PC3000 is the company's premiere desktop video conferencing system that allows users to communicate via voice, color video at up to 15 frames per second, and data sharing over a single regular phone line. The system features a high-speed fax/modem, a headset, application software, a color video camera, a voice/data compression card and a video capture and compression card. This product will be available for an estimated street price of $999. In addition, a version of the ShareVision PC3000 without the color video camera, for customers who wish to use their own cameras, camcorders, VCRs or other NTSC, PAL, or S-video input devices, will be available for an estimated street price of $799.

"The desktop video conferencing market for the PC showed strong growth this past year," said Lung Yeh, vice president of ShareVision products for Creative Labs, Inc., the U.S., subsidiary of Creative Technology Ltd. "Offering a price point under $1000 will accelerate this growth, especially among small and home office professionals and virtually anyone who recognizes the value of face-to-face communication."
