Creative Labs Gears Up For Annual Software Developer's Conference

Broad-Base of Multimedia Marketing and Technical Professionals to Preview Creative's Next Generation Products

MILPITAS -- August 8, 1995 -- Creative Labs, Inc., a U.S. subsidiary of Creative Technology Ltd., today announced that it will host its annual international software developer's conference, Creativity '95, on August 14th and 15th in San Francisco and August 31st and September 1st in London, England. Focusing on 3D technologies, Creativity '95 will feature previews of Creative's next generation products, including its 3D graphics, 3D audio and communications devices. W.H. Sim, chairman and CEO of Creative Technology Ltd., will open the event with the keynote address. Paul Osborne, director, multimedia technology, personal systems group, of Microsoft Corporation will be among the keynote speakers at the conference.

"Creativity '95 will set the scene for the next generation of Blaster technologies," said Arnold Waldstein, vice president of U.S. software and product marketing for Creative Labs, Inc. "We will provide the perfect roadmap and technical tools to enable our supporting developers to take advantage of a newly emerging 3D multimedia marketplace."

Creativity '95 is expected to attract leading entertainment, educational and productivity software developers from over 200 companies worldwide. The event will feature seminars that will include details on the use of Creative's 3D audio and 3D graphics products. Participants in the two day conference will attend seminars grouped within two "tracks" -- one geared for marketing professionals and another aimed at a more technical audience. Overviews of Creative's latest 3D graphics and telephony-based technologies will be offered. Industry trends, APIs, MPEG and video are also among the many subjects expected to be covered by these seminars. In addition, Creativity '95 will include workshops that examine the many tools and techniques of programming Sound Blaster audio cards, 3D graphics APIs, SoundFont applications and sound drivers.
