No Digitized Sound With Sound Blaster AWE32 or SB32 After Adding Additional Memory
Problem:
No digitized sound is heard after adding memory to the Sound Blaster AWE32 or SB32
SIMM sockets.
Solution:
If the SIMM modules are not seated properly in the Sound Blaster AWE32 or SB32
SIMM sockets, the digitized sound functions of the Sound Blaster AWE32 card can be
disabled.
The solution to the above is as follows:
- Run the Sound Blaster AWE32 or SB32 diagnostic program to ensure that there is
no hardware conflict.
- Ensure that the Sound Blaster AWE32 or SB32 card is seated properly in the ISA
slot on the motherboard.
- Ensure that the SIMM modules are properly seated in the Sound Blaster
AWE32 or SB32 SIMM sockets.
