Modem Blaster/Phone Blaster Return An Error Of "No Dialtone" But You Can Hear It Dialling

Problem:

When you attempt to dial out with your modem, you could hear your Modem Blaster/Phone Blaster dailling but the modem returns a "No Dialtone" error message on your screen.

Solution:

  1. The dailling tone that you heard may not be a true dailing tone. It may be either a wrong pitch, not loud enough or too loud. Use the &quo;tATX0" command before you dial. The "ATX0" command will force the modem not to detect the dial tone and report basic call progress results codes such as OK, CONNECT, RING, NO CARRIER, NO ANSWER and ERROR.
  2. Check the phone cord if it is "straight through" meaning not crossed wired.
  3. Unplug all equipment plugged into the modem or on the same line as the modem such as answering or fax machine.
