EIDE2300Plus Driver Settings


Below are the driver speed settings for the EIDE2300, EIDE2300Plus, 
and OEM cards using the Promise PDC20630 chip.  These settings were 
determined by testing the hard drives on various motherboards.  Due 
to variations in motherboard design these speed settings may not 
necessarily be correct for every motherboard, and a lower speed should 
be chosen if you encounter system lockups using the default speed 
settings.

The following table lists the PIO and DMA speed for various drives on 
both 33 Mhz and 50 Mhz motherboards. If you have a 25 Mhz motherboard, 
use the 33 Mhz settings; with a 40 Mhz motherboard, use the 50 Mhz 
setting.

For the PIO speed settings, T means Turbo mode and F means Fast mode.
