Windows NT Windows NT 4.0 WHQL Certified driver ver. 4.103.28. Note For Windows NT 4.0 OpenGL Users: To use the Revolution 3D's OpenGL 3D hardware acceleration under NT 4.0, users MUST make certain that "OpenGL MCD Acceleration" is ENABLED. To do this, go to the START Menu, select SETTINGS, then CONTROL PANEL, and launch the Number Nine Control Center. Click on the Driver Options Tab and make sure that the "OpenGL MCD Acceleration" button is CHECKED to enable 3D Acceleration. This feature was DISABLED by default in previous versions of the NT 4.0 driver. Windows NT 4.0 BETA driver ver 4.103.36 The 4.103.36 BETA Performance driver includes the following fixes: Resolved the "Vellum 3D" 2D Line Bug. There was a problem with our handling of negative coordinates in our code to support DrvLineTo. It would cause a line to not be rendered correctly. Resolved the disappearing cursor bug. Opening 2 folders and dragging multiple files from folder to folder would occasionally make the hardware cursor disappear. It would reappear when the code would have been called to change the shape of the cursor (i.e. to move, resize, etc.). Resolved a bug where the hardware cursor would not be hidden when changing to a software cursor. It would remain stationary on the screen when it should have disappeared. Windows NT 4.0 BETA driver ver 4.103.31 The 4.103.31 BETA driver implements the HEIDI support for the Revolution 3D WRAM and SGRAM boards. NOTE: 1.The Heidi driver is not supported when operating w/Two Tall or Double Wide modes. 2.The driver is also not supported with the dual monitor Windows NT driver. 3.A texture problem has been found which is related to a precision limitation in the T2R chip. The problem manifests itself as stray textures being drawn onscreen when applying them to a surface. This driver is for 3D Studio Max ver 1.2 only and will not run under version 2.0! Windows NT 3.51 BETA driver ver. 3.103.19. The 3.103.19 BETA driver for Windows NT 3.51 is only compatible with Revolution 3D WRAM boards. Windows NT 4.0 BETA DUAL MONITOR driver ver 4.113.30 NOTE: When running dual monitors it is necessary to use two Revolution 3D cards. It is recommended that you use two cards that have the same amount and type of memory although various combinations are possible. Mini Client Driver and Direct Draw acceleration IS NOT AVAILABLE when in dual monitor mode. Please refer to the README file before installing this driver! Driver Definition W.H.Q.L Certified Driver --(Windows Hardware Quality Labs) certified means is that the driver has been sent to Microsoft and has passed Microsoft's battery of stringent tests to ensure the highest conformance with Windows 95 applications. This driver's strength is its stability in the Windows 95 environment. PERFORMANCE Driver-- means that the driver is optimized for graphic performance (speed) and stability. The performance driver is geared to the consumer who is interested in pushing the Number Nine board to its acceleration limits. This driver's strength is, most definitely, speed. BETA Driver-- means that the driver is a driver that is undergoing testing and may not be as stable as the two drivers above. Unless there is a need for the specific beta driver, We recommend either the WHQL certified driver or our Performance driver.
