OVERVIEW Windows 98 versus Windows 95

Version 5.30 of the Enhanced ATI display driver is certified for use in both Windows 98 and Windows 95.

Keep in mind , however, that Windows 98 introduces multiple display support that is not available in Windows 95 and also uses a new driver model (WDM) for WEB TV and streaming capture support.

In Windows 95, version 5.30 of the Enhanced ATI display driver is simply the latest version of the display driver. Installing this driver in Windows 95 does NOT mean that you will get any of the new capabilities that appear in Windows 98.

In Windows 98, version 5.30 of the Enhanced ATI display driver supports multiple displays as well as the WDM capture model for WEB TV.

FEATURE CHANGES:

Windows 95: 
There are no feature changes with this driver.

Virtual desktop is still available in Windows 95

Windows 98: 
Multiple displays are supported.

WDM capture support for WEB TV is incorporated.

Virtual desktop is not currently supported in Windows 98
